Logging onto the Messenger

Wondering if he will be online

It’s been two weeks since we’ve spoken

     since he was caught

          with my picture

Have gone through this ritual everyday

     sadden each time

          he wasn’t there

He’s online !!!!!

     heart beats faster

Type in “Hi”

Seconds with no response

     heart racing now

     will he respond?

His “Hi !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” floods me with joy
