| I've had Bullmastiffs for about 15 years. I like this
breed because they are good with children, have a pleasant, congenial temperment,
and are excellent at discouraging unwanted visitors.
My preferred type in the Bullmastiff is a blocky, square dog with a lot of substance. Heads are very important to me: The head is what sets this breed apart from all the other breeds. I specialize in breeding for the brindle which is the original Bullmastiff color. I believe the brindle pattern shows off the musculature and contour of the breed's body at its best. I am a realist in my breeding program; I know no one can ever breed the perfect dog. However, I do my best to come as close to perfection as possible! Balance is the key, as in everything in life. My favorite Bullmastiffs of all time are CH Blackslate's Boston Brahmin and CH Blackslate's Boston Blackie. |
