| UCI was designed for the highly
focused, research-oriented Web user. A massive, subject-driven index, the
site has more of a software look than any ordinary index. Rather than having
the user search one list after another, the UCI search engines provided
the most viewed Web sites on the Internet, believing that the user just
haven't the time to click page after page, many of which are irrelevant
for his/her purpose. UCI has taken extra care to ensure the security of
the user, as we attempt to decrease the frequency of unneeded popup ads,
pornography, and other useless Web items. This page is to provide an introduction
to this new, radical concept, as we anticipate this style of 'controlled'
Web browsing will be the forerunner to a new Internet philosophy.
