Frankie grew up playing the guitar
with his brother Tim, brother-in-law and Catfish Cliff.
So the first band was naturally named "The Next Of Kin" !!!
Around 1976 Frankie moved to Colorado to be a ski bum.
He met musicians in the Aspen area and began performing.
This lead to a road band for many years with several
different acts. He has traveled the U.S. and Canada performing on shows with
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band,
Poco, Travis Tritt, Keith Whitley, The Pirates Of The Mississippi,
Jimmy Buffet and John Denver.
After playing a show at Caesars for the national finals rodeo
he met an agent from Nashville who made him an offer
so he would be able to stay in his home town and perform at the Opryland Hotel.
After a five week cruise ship gig he headed home.
The Opryland gig lasted six years. After that it
was only natural for him to pick back up
with his songwriting brother, Tim, and best friends from the hood!!!
He couldn't be happier!!!
