Kareoke- Part 3 Note: Part of this comes from a sort of challange I was given. My friend Brownie told me that I couldn't find a way to fit the song Henry the Eighth into a ER fanfic.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~COMMERCIAL BREAK~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Voice Over: Our special guest emcee Anna Del Amico.
{Anna runs onstage from the back corner of the room. She grabs the mic and steps into the spotlight.}
Anna: It's great to be here at good old CCGH, I'm Anna Del Amico. Welcome back to the First Annual County General Kareoke Contest. Our next contestant is Luka Kovac. He will be performing Henry the Eighth.
{Anna hands the mic to Luka as he comes onto the stage. "Henry the Eighth" ~Hermann's Hermits on electric sign.}
Kovac {singing, somewhat}: I'm Henry the Eighth I am. Henry the Eighth I am, I am. I got married to the widow next door. She's been married seven times before. And everyone was an Enery. Wouldn't take a Willie or a Sam. I'm the Eighth old man, I'm Enery. Herny the Eighth I am.
{As short musical interlude pals, camera shows shocked crowd.}
Kovac: Second verse, same as the first. I'm...
{Music is cut, as is the spotlight. Anna runs back on stage and takes the mic away from a stunned Kovac.}
Anna: Thank you Dr. Kovac for the interesting performence. Moving right along, our next performer....
Kovac: Wait, what about the rest of the song. Don't I even get a score?
{Anna shoots him a look, and he sulks off the stage.}
Anna: Our next performer, or performers, I should say, are Malik and Jerry performing some Metalica.
{Malik and Jerry run onstage with much enthusiasm. Openning chords play of "Enter Snadman and the title is up on the electric sign.}
Malik: Say your prayers little one. Don't forget, my son, to include everyone. Tuck you in, warm within, keep you free from sin. Till the sandman he comes.
Jerry: Sleep with one eye open. Gripping you pillow tight. Exit-light. Enter-night. Take my hand.
Both: We're off to never never land.
{They head bang during the bridge, which is a perfect time to view the crowd. The males of the room seem to enjoy the presentation, while the females seem less than entertained. Cmaera goes back to the stage after the second verse.}
Both: Exit-light. Enter-night. Take my hand. We're off to never never land.
Jerry {with Malik reapeating}: As I lay me down to sleep.... I pray the Lord my soul to keep.... If I die before I wake.... I pray the Lord my soul to take.
Malik: Hush little baby don't say a word. And never mind the noise you heard.
Jerry: It's just the beasts under your bed. In your clostt. In your head.
{Time skip to end of song.}
{Song ends and the guys jump in the air a few times. They stay on stage until Anna pushes them off and takes their place.}
Anna: Thank you Malik and Jerry for that... energetic... performence. ANd now we go to the judges for their scores.
Carol: NO way. I can't give them anythign higher than a 5.
Doug: I don't know what her problem is, I loved it. I give you guys a 10.
Susan: Anna's right, it defenitly was energetic. You guys get a 5 from me as well.
Anna: That's a combined score of 20. The kareokee keeps going with...
{The crowd cheers. Anna walks ober to the systems operator. She quickly picks her song and is back on stage. "Streets of Philadelphia" ~Bruce Sprinsteen on sign.}
Anna {singing with the music}: I was bruised and battered. I couldn't tell what I felt. I was unrecognizable to myself. I saw my reflection in the window I didn't kmow my own face. Oh brother are you gonna leave me wastin' away on the streets of Philadelphia...
{Anna has the music cut and the lighting comes back up.}
Anna: Now that doesn't count in the scoring. We'll take a short commercial break and be back soon.
