��When Kurei�s flame first came out in the battle for Yanagi at the mansion, I was astonished (really!). The name of the flame is Kurenai(Scarlet). Although it looks like a human being, it�s a flame through and through. It lives inside Kurei and shall always be there to protect him. A word about Kurenai's history. Before Kurei gets that hideous scar on his face, in the time when he still has emotions and a heart, Kurei befriended a girl who was also adopted by Kouran. His feelings towards her gets deeper and he later found himself falling in love with her.

��However, Kouran knows this and had Kurei beaten up by hired thugs. He told Kurei that emotions are for weaklings and Kurei must not have them in order to be strong. Kurei denies all of this, but Kouran is not convinced. He reminded Kurei that Kurenai has a bomb implanted in her. He proves it by pushing the switch that activates the bomb and killed Kurenai. Kurei watched in horror as the only woman he ever loves falls to the ground. Before she dies, Kurenai�s wish is to be with Kurei forever. Kurei grants her wish by turing her into his flame. Kurenai, now a flame, floats down to Kurei and touches his left cheek, burning it. Kurei said that it was his fault that she was killed and he would gladly allow her to burn him. Kurenai didn�t and ever since she has been with him as his flame.

��Fire Wings

�� This was first shown at the battle at the mansion. Kurei just extended his left hand and commands her. From Kurenai�s wings came many, many sharp, pointed, dagger like, burning feathers, which aims at the Hokage. Then, the feathers shoot out to them like bullets fired from machine guns. As you can imagine, the Hokage is having a hard time avoiding them. The feathers, upon impact, exploded and created an enormous hole in the wall. Very dangerous.

��Burning Fumes

�� I don�t know what�s it�s really called but that�s exactly what it is. Kurei saw Gangko, the traitor, he proceed to take her to her mother �who has left the world long ago.� Kurenai started to howl and from her mouth, blue-purple gases or fumes came out. It rushes to Ganko at very fast speed in order to consume her. Lucky for Ganko, Recca stopped the fumes before it touches her.

��Multiple Flames

�� That�s what I call to the technique Kurei was using at the Recca-Kurei battle on the last round of the Dark Martial Combat. The arena floor blows up and so many huge boulders were blocking Kurei�s view from Recca. He deploys 3 Kurenai . They flew swiftly, head on and destroyed the boulders. The 3 Scarlets ended up by crashing to the arena�s wall.

��Phoenix
