Born to Hokage Ninjia's leader, Ohka and his wife Reina.
Recca's half brother.Reina was a proud woman who liked to boast about how her son would become the next Hokage leader. When Recca was born, and it was discovered that he also had the power of flame, Kurei was considered cursed because usually only the first son of the flame caster had the flame, but if the second son also had the flame, then the first was not capable of ruling as the next leader. When the samurais came to wipe out the Hokage, Kurei was still in prison. When the prison was enveloped in flames, he got so terrified that he unleashed his flame and blew an escape route out of the wall. After that, he picked up the knife he had previously used, bent on killing Recca.
Just when he reached Recca, he found Kagerou using the time manipulation technique to send Recca to the future. Not wanting Recca to escape, Kurei jumped into the portal and was sent to the portal as well.
His girlfriend, Kurenai was killed by his foster father, Mori Kouran who wanted him to be just a killing machine.
Forced to become because to protect his beloved foster mother, Mori Tsukino from his evil foster father.
Later in the manga, Mori Kouran turned on him at the end of the tournament.
And it was Neon who saved him.....and also bring back his humanity which was lost after Kurenai's death.His foster mother was saved by Raiha and he decided to go against Mori Kouran together with Joker and Raiha.
