Our band started out a few years ago. We started out as a band called "Fingerprint". The band had 5 members Adam B on drums, Matt T on guitar, Ben J on lead guitar and Sam C on vocals. This is where the band first began and started to take shape at the early days of year 7. After a while we tryed to write songs but that didn't work. A few weeks later Sam Carlson left the band and the Fingerprint band was now abandoned. A few months after that Adam, Matt and Ben wanted to keep the band going with just us four. We went to Matt's house for the first time in late 2001. On this day, we learnt our first song as a band called "God is watching over you" - by Phil Joel. Then in early 2002 in year 8 we found a bass guitarist called"Mark Tibben". Then a few weeks later we all went to the Matt's church in Caroline Springs. There we played the songs Not A..., On your own and messed around with the song Party which is now called"Totally Insignificant". In 2001 and 2002 we tryed out for Koolschools but were unsucessful. In 2003 we played at our first gig at Jesse's house which was a good start for us and it built up our confidence. Also in 2003 played at BJ's youth group and at many school assembly's though out the past few years. Also in 2003, we tryed out for battle of the bands at The Volt but their was a problem with the application form which stopped us. In 2004, we recorded an EP called "No Go Zone - Not Another Jam Session" and started selling our music. Then we performed at a Studio project presentation and later that week we done our first full on gig at Werribee Baptist Church which was fantastic (heaps of lights and massive speakers). Later in June, we made our first public apperance at FreezA Battle of the bands at Volt nightclub. In late 2004, we have been mainly going solo but will be starting up again as a group in early 2005 again. |
