Conclusion
This proved to be an extremely interesting show to consider when it came to the religious perspective.  I am still very uncertain about how I feel towards South Park.  Parker and Stone must be given credit for the work they have done.  They took four young boys from a simple town in Colorado and forced them to have the most controversial themes in television today.  Yet, perhaps they are taking advantage of this capability.  They are beginning to offend those who are close to the show and, of course, the viewers.  Without the viewers, a show is nothing.  Therefore, South Park must be careful in taking precautions to keep their audiences.  Although it does seem that the more banning and censoring of shows, the more popular they become.
I'd like to thank you for coming to my website and I hope that it proved to be useful in the understanding of religion in television.  Everywhere we look today, there is some message or theme being put across to an audience.  The one that I am trying to put across is to consider South Park as an instructor of religion.  The episodes are, frequently, over the top and sometimes cruel, but this does bring churches and groups together.  They bring their faith together to fight against the first threat against its beliefs.  Maybe this is not such a bad thing on behalf of Stone and Parker...

Once again, thank you for visitng this site. I hope it has helped you consider the aspects of religion in this particular show.  In today's society, it is important to determine what is offensive and what is not.  Whether or not South Park is offensive in nature, is a decision that must be made individually.  Feel free to contact me via e-mail with any questions or concerns.
