OCEANSIDE EGGNOGGERS RACING TEAM

2006 FANTASY STATE DRILL

How it works: Each entry will consist of one “fantasy team.” One week before the New York State Drill (August 19, 2006 in Deerfield), team selection will be made. An actual team will be chosen to represent each fantasy team for each of the eight events of the day (for example, a fantasy team could be represented by Oceanside in Three Man Ladder, Hempstead in B-Ladder, Manhasset in C-Ladder, etc). The fantasy team will be awarded any points earned by its representative teams. At the end of the day, the fantasy team with the most points will win a prize of at least $500.

Team selection: One week before the drill, team selection will be made. Playing cards will be numbered for each team on the State Drill lineup. These cards will be shuffled and dealt, and the numbers assigned to the fantasy teams. This process will be repeated for each of the eight events. If there are more teams entered in the contest than are registered for the Drill, then the cards will be reshuffled and dealt as needed. The fantasy scoresheet will be posted on the Oceanside “Eggnoggers” website, www.eggnoggers.cjb.net, as well as e-mailed to each participant.

Results: Will be posted on the Oceanside “Eggnoggers” website, www.eggnoggers.cjb.net, as well as e-mailed to each participant.

Winning: The fantasy team which has accumulated the most points at the end of the State Drill shall be declared the winner of this contest. In the event of a tie, the following tie-breakers will be used:

1.        Most individual contest wins (5-point runs).

2.       Most state record runs.

3.       Earliest team to pay entry fee.

4.       Coin Toss.

Cost: Only $20 per fantasy team entry.

Bonus: Any fantasy team whose selected team sets or ties a New York State record during the day will receive an additional prize of $20.
