A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET

1: TINA is the first ever victim of the dead Freddy Krueger. As she is sleeping with her boyfriend, Rod, Freddy Krueger enters her dreams. In the dream, she is slashed across the chest by Freddy and (back in the real world) Rod wakes up but can only watch as Tina is slashed even more by a invisible force (Freddy only being visible in the dream-world), dragged up the wall, across the ceiling and then dropped to the floor, leaving blood streaked all across the room.

2. ROD gets put in jail, committed for the murder of Tina, and falls asleep in his cell. As he sleeps, an invisible Freddy ties Rod's bedcovers around his neck and hangs him from the ceiling of his cell, choking him, finally breaking his neck and making it look to his friends that he had hanged himself.

3. GLEN was Nancy's boyfriend and was set the task by Nancy of staying awake until Freddy was killed by her. Glen was watching TV and listening to music to try and stay awake but he couldn't and was sucked into his bed by an unseen force. Glen was replaced by wave-after-wave of blood and gore which sprayed like a fountain onto Glen's bedroom ceiling.

4. Nancy's mother, MARGE THOMPSON was one of the people in the mob who murdered Freddy when he was still alive. After Nancy managed to get Freddy into the real world and set him on fire, Freddy ran to Marge's bedroom and jumped on top of her, burning and suffocating her before sinking through the bed with her, back to the dream world.

Nancy and Lt Don Thompson are the main characters of this film and the film's only surviving characters. All of the victims are friends of Nancy's which is why they are the first to get killed. Nancy and Lt Don Thompson return in NOES3: The Dream Warriors.

Freddy's 'death': Dragged into the real world by Nancy who managed to set him alight. Due to this being Freddy's actual cause of death, it was very powerful and caused him so much pain that he had to return to the dream world so that he could recover before returning in 'Freddy's Revenge'.
