I NEED

I need someone to patch me up a little bit
and clean my head,
someone to cook stews like my mother's,
desserts like my grandmother's, and towers of candy.

Someone to put tintacks in my shoes
so I remember that I'm walking,
and someone to hang my mind from a rope
until it dries up from the problems, and take me...

And someone to be in my bed fridays and sundays,
so I'll be in her soul all the other days of my life.
And someone to love me when I am, when I go, when I'm gone,
and someome who knows how to serve tea, then kiss me and then laugh.

And someone who knows the words I will never tell her
and someone who doesn't care how I dress; if I'm going to undress anyway,
to love her, to love her.

I need someone to patch me up a little bit
and clean my head,
someone to cook stews like my mother's,
desserts like my grandmother's, and towers of candy.

If you know anyone like that,
I beg you
to let me know because that is
totally who I need.
