There were two very special mements in this game;
1) Daniel, your cover defence is outstanding, you easily save 4 try scoring plays by Cabra with you chasing and attitude of never give up the chase.
2) P.J, to get 3 tries against a team like that is incredible, to watch you glide down the field on your way to a try with nobody even close to you is a sight I would like to see a lot more of.

A top effort in defence boys you came up in a straight line - your line speed was great, you were all involved in defence which was great to see.

The level of skills shown on Saturday by both teams was a trubute to the coaching staff and parent support group from both clubs. The score was 27 all.
It was a close game right from go to wo and thats how it deserved to finish neither team deserved to lose they were that good.

Defeating Parramatta Marist is a great way to kick off the 2005 season with a very close final score of 17-15.
Congratulations to Bull & Sila on scoring all of our tries, and what a performance by Junior who had an outstanding game

We have a couple of players that were in the under 10s last year who played in the Grand Final the rest are not to be a part of the division 2 competition. We'll certainly be requesting to be brought back to div 3 during the re-grade after round 4.

Under 12s Sponsor: Excell Office Machines - Ph: 0414 344 908
Coach: Bob Stanley    Manager: Julie Kelly    Trainers: Rob Norton, Brett Davis, Steve Grimaldi, Ben Marcus

Troy and Mason did some good work in defence and there was no one backing them up, then all of a sudden Adam got away and scored a thrtee pointer and Mason took the shot at goal which sailed on by the goal posts.
As the team showed they had woken up we saw Troy cross for a five pointer and again we missed the conversion. at half time we trailed 8-15

In the second hald we were ready to play we came out with all guns blazing the defence was fantastic.Elias scored his first try in Kooka colours but we feel sure there will be many morethen Ryan and Adam also scored tries. We scored 13 un-answered points in the second half to win 21-12.

Coach: Andy Luc    Manager: Faye Mansur    Trainers: Ian Morris, Wayne Osborne, Nathan Haines

The 13 players that did show for the game on Saturday really gave their all and as a coach I was very pleased with the team performance. The first 12 minutes we dominated but during the last 8 minutes of the 1st half we got lazy in defence and this led to us being behind at halftime 10-4.
The second we left the opposition scoreless whilst we scored to take the lead 14-10 the a total lapse of concentration seconds from full-time saw Hills score an snatch a draw, this is one game that we let get away from us.

Our first competition game for the new season was against Seven Hills at Internations Oval. We hit the field with a sick referee arriving late We were first to cross for a try but we missed the conversion. Not five minutes later Seven Hills scored and kicked a goal they led 6-4.
Mohemad K chimed in to score his second try we steadily added points throughout the first half with both Mason and Adam from the under 12s crossing for four pointers. The final score was a win to the Kookas 34-14.
Man of the Match: Mohemad Katieh

First game of the season for the defending champions of last year and we went down to the Cobras 12-22, not a disaster but a bit of a wake up call. Some of you have not turned up to traininbg and it showed in the result. You are basically the same team as last year, just think back you all attended your tyraining sessions last year and gane 100% effort at training and the gaes and it also showed then we lost just one game all season.
Never mind it's early days you just have to get back into the 2004 mode and give the effort you gave then again this year.

What a way to start the new season, this was a really gutsy win, a win you deserve and you can have many more wins provided you stick together as a team, work as a team, and attand training ready to give a full effort.
I am pleased with what you have all built as a team so far but we are only at the foundation and it is only round one, our goal is the semi-finals and from there who knows.
Boys even if you have an injury and can't trail I want you all present so you can watch and see what's going on.

The girls are traing really well and will be delighted when they get to take the field for a game. Our trials have shown we will be a force in a competition so I hope Parramatta do get a comp up and running soon, until the we must keep training.
