Introduction
============
Ultima 6, a CRPG released in 1990, supports the Roland MT-32 synthesizer.
However, on computers faster than a 486, the MT-32 sound driver doesn't
work correctly.
It doesn't support the Soundblaster MIDI interface, either.

The Soundblaster driver for Ultima 6 fixes these problems.

Note:
You can only use this driver with Soundblaster cards that work under DOS.
The driver doesn't work with MPU-401-compatible MIDI cards.

Installing the New Driver
=========================
Find out what base port your Soundblaster is set to.
If it's set to port xxx, copy u6sb_xxx.drv to your main Ultima 6 directory.
Then delete u6roland.drv and rename u6sb_xxx.drv to u6roland.drv.
Run the Ultima 6 installer and choose "Roland MT-32 / MIDI" as your sound
card.
