Ever since I was little, I have loved performing and getting attention. When I was 4 or 5, I wrote my first song: "The Family Band." I have been singing and songwriting ever since.

I first recognized the power of music when my mom sang "You Are My Sunshine" to me at night before bed. At first, the song seemed so happy, but it’s actually very sad. I was hooked at that moment forever.

My first influences were in country music. That’s what my babysitter listened to, so I heard it everyday. I can’t remember how I first heard rock, but I know what song it was: "What’s Love Got to Do With It."

I also have a love of acting. Since the second grade, I have been in 25 plays, mostly musicals. My senior year of high school, I developed my own public access TV show, because I wanted to try something new. Currently, I act on 3 of the shows on ICTV, the college station.

Anyway, that’s about it. (I tried to keep it short.) I hope you get a chance to hear South Hill very soon. It’s a group of friends, not to mention talented musicians, that I’m sure you’ll enjoy.
