I’ve spent the last couple years of my life doing something that I love: playing guitar. It all started in 7th grade when I had my first guitar lesson. I remember the only reason I wanted to play the guitar was because the girl I liked had brown eyes, and I figured if I learned "Brown Eyed Girl" for her she would go out with me. After a few lessons, I realized how much I enjoyed playing guitar. My brother also played and he taught me a bunch of songs.

When high school came around my friend Andrew started guitar and we began jamming together on a regular basis. Our first song, "Crossing the Waters," is one that I still play once in a while. Senior year I started singing and playing guitar with my friend Amy. She had an amazing voice and we complimented each other wonderfully. With her help, I came out with an album titled "Incidental Prime" as Christmas presents for my friends. The album featured music, poetry and thoughts by all my friends.

Since coming to college I’ve found a bunch of amazing musicians to play with. Mike, Nate, Chad, Jeff and I compliment each other wonderfully. I can only envision great things for us. I would like to thank my mom, dad, Alan, Amy, Maria, Scott, Seth, Andrew, Meena, Becca, Leah, Seren, Melanie, Terri, Sarah, and all the people who have supported my guitar playing over the years. Ironically, I never got the girl with brown eyes. However, those eyes inspired me to do something that I have grown to love.
