Courtney met Maosi, leader of the Shinigami seishi who used her mind reading abilites to turn Courtney against her cousin and Miaka. Courtney became the priestess of Shinigami and has met 4 out of her 7 warriors.
Miaka and Yui searched for Courtney, but couldn't find her. They were attacked by one of the Shinigami, Li, and were saved by Nakago. Nakago had felt Yui's power and had gone to her. They escaped Li, and found Nuriko, but were later attacked by Maosi herself. After playing with Nakago, Maosi left to find the source of new power. It happened to be Ryo who had psychically linked himself with the book. Ryo made a get away and Maosi returned to her priestess. The Yui/Nakago/Nuriko/Miaka group were later joined by Tamahome and Suboshi and, recently, Miboshi. Miboshi, however, is under an evil spell and is collaborating with the Shinigami. At some point, Yui was kidnapped by a half-dragon man named Ryu, but was not harmed in anyway. Nakago, Suboshi, Miaka, Tamahome, and the evil Miboshi were heading towards Chichiri and his group in hopes of finding Yui and Taiitscun when Ryo showed up and informed them about Miboshi being evil. Ryo took Miboshi away with him. They met up with Tasuki and Chichiri's group and Maosi interrupted the reunion.
Tasuki and Kaku (a Shinigami informant who was playing Tasuki) met up with Chichiri and Serafina, a girl named Mei-sying, and Koji. Kaku, after betraying Tasuki, broke his heart and he was lost when she left. Chichiri fell in love with the demonic Serafina and Koji revealed his love for Mei-sying (they had been friends when younger). After some encounters with the Shinigami and their allies, Kaku realized her love for Tasuki and joined their group. Currently, Chichiri, Serafina, Tasuki, Kaku, and Kouji have met up with Nakago's group and Serafina fought Maosi and lost.
Courtney, after becoming the priestess of Shinigami, accidently set loose some servants of Taiitscun (her daughters actually) that had been locked up by Shinigami. She, Fayra, Li, Kano, Maosi, and Shaylee are searching for the other 3 seishi (Maosi has now left though for a short period of time).
Other things:
Li, a Shinigami seishi, professed his love for Courtney (she doesn't feel the same). He also fought Ryo and then tried to lock him in a time rip, didn't work though. Li is back with the main Shinigami group (Courtney, Fayra, Shaylee, Kano and himself).
Kano, a reluctant Shinigami seishi, has promised to join them if Fayra (an informant) can find his family.
Shigeru, yet another seishi, met up with Amiboshi and became friends with him (or is heading in that direction). He has now also met a woman named Reina (who is an unfound Shinigami seishi)
Outside the book:
Ryo, a psychic guy, met up with Keisuke and Tetsuya and also Courtney's twin brother Matt. He was able to psychically link himself with the book, but not for long. The second time, Maosi trapped him in there and he died. He was revived by Taiitscun. The 4 guys later find out that Ryo is related to Taiitscun and is meant to be Guardian of the book. Three of Taiitscun's daughers have come to help him with his powers/duties/etc. After they left, Ryo went into the book.
