While the others were off trying to save more people, she used her abilities and the esper Ragnarok to kill all the survivors. In the midst of a fight with Sabin, Edgar and a strange new man, a ninja named Kanuk, Shigumi fled. A young woman arrived and proceeded to use Phoenix and her powers to bring back to life all the people that Shigumi had killed. The woman fainted and Sabin, Kanuk and Edgar brought her aboard their ship bound for Figaro. They had left Terra behind to help put the city back in order.
When the strange woman awakened, they found out her name, Leena, and that she was an empath. Having felt what was occurring in Mobliz, she had left her cabin and had traveled some distance to arrive there to help. The four are currently en route to Figaro, hoping their friends will show up soon.
Meanwhile, a new villain has come into the picture. His name is Haru and he used to work for Kefka. His life was ruined when Kefka was brought down. Now he wishes to join up with this powerful woman to ressurrect the great Kefka, get revenge on the good guys, and conquer the world.
