Moderator Guidelines
As a Moderator, you have a great power, as well as a great responsability.. With the title of Moderator, or "Mod", you have three main objections. You may choose to ignore these if you wish, but do so sparingly, since ignoring these repeatedly and abusing your power will get not only the title of Mod taken away, but you will be banned from the entire forum.
First off, Moderators are fair. They cannot be biased for any reason. The first and most important task for a Moderator is moderating the forum, hence the name. Moderators are to stop "flame wars". Flame wars are when two or more people decide that one person's idea is stupid, retarded, gay/queer, fucked up, insane, lame, or just downright dumb, or that one person is stupid, retarded, insane, dumb, fucked up, an idiot, a moron, a jackass, a dipshit, a shithead, a douche-bag, a fucknut, a wingnut, an ass, an asshole, a whole ass, an assmunch, or any other similar insults. When these are used, the offending parties are to be e-mailed and given a warning. If an apology is given, then all is well. If there is no apology given, watch the offender. If it continues, delete the thread, then e-mail the offender a second time, warning him for the -=last=- time. If it persists, delete any other threads with insults contained within, ban him from the forum you Moderate (or as in most cases, help Moderate, as with most dual-Moderated forums), then e-mail me. I'll take it from there.
Second, Moderators try to bring people to the forum. This is extremely important now, in our starting weeks. We need people to post first and foremost, but I am more then willing to take lurkers who are willing to write stories (preferrably with ONE World Of Darkness line only, but cross-overs will be accepted on a trial basis), articles (explaining a often mis-understood concept, or an alternate Character Creation Method, an addition to that one World Of Darkness line that he wrote, such as a new Bloodline, Discipline, creature, etc, or even just a list that could be printed out and used in a hurry), or reviews (which will be done on a trial basis).
Finally, Moderators, as all users, post topics. I have noticed that many of you signed up and then said, "Oh, well, cool. I stop fights and wield God-like power, without really giving anything back to the Forum and the person who asked me to assist him in this project." Well, it's not like that. Truth be told, I could Moderate this entire thing by myself, and wouldn't break a sweat. I could advertise this to everyone I know, smear this website address on bathroom walls, write it on billboards with spray-paint, and submit it to major search engines every hour on the hour, getting the people I wanted and results I felt I deserved. Well, I brought you here to make a small group of people realize that, on the other end of the telephone line and modem, there's other people. The 15 or so of us are now the founders and sole moderators of a brand-new Web-Zine dedicated to the World Of Darkness, and indeed, White Wolf in general.
The World Of Darkness (which is Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Mage: The Ascension, Changling: The Dreaming, Hunter: The Reckoning, Mummy: The Resurrection, their new prequel to the World Of Darkness, Exalted, and formerly, Wraith: The Oblivion) started a trend that has been emulated in television, movies, books, card games, computers games, clothing, and accessories. In short, it started a legend. This site is a tribute to that World Of Darkness, which, in comparison, has made our lives a little more lighter.
A few pointers...
First off, no power trips. No one hates a Moderator who thinks he's an Administrator.
Second, don't act like you know everything. This is a forum to discuss, learn, share, and give freely. By telling someone that they are wrong, at least according to you (meaning you can't back it up with a book and page number), you are starting aa flame-war. That's bad.

Don't be afraid to post. You're all Mods. If someone's stupid enough to laugh at you or give you shit, they deserve the hell you give them.

Finally, let's all remember this... We're here because we want to be. If something you don't like comes up, bring it to my attention. I'll do what I can to satisfy you, the Moderators, as well as the visitors themselves. However, we need to get them here first...
I'd like a 10-15 sentance paragraph about each and everyone of you. Make it as funny or as "Gothic/Punk" as you like, but make it honest. If possible, send me a picture. I'll be making a Moderator "Who's Who" page as soon as I can.
