Using some suggested names, I have decided to name my two new baby pumpkins.
Since he's the first to be 'born', I've decided to name him Big Grandaddy!
This one is going to be named Big Ben. *laughs*
Last year, I had used Big Bertha and Baby Huey. I can't remember what I named the father. At that time, I had three pumpkins. One bigger than the other so I drew faces on them. They were plucked in June (rather, forcefully. The vines had all rotted but after it all died in June, The mound sprouted whole new vines but I don't think flowers came, so no new pumpkins at that.), lasted till Halloween, then turned around to the plain side for Thanksgiving, then buried into the mound.
And mentioning of flowers, A huge one, amongst many.
This is my ever first attempt at making a pineapple tree/plant/bush/whatever. I had discovered that the foliage on top was actually a living 'tree', so I tore it off and buried it. It looked as if it was going to die but I held out because I was sternly told by some green thumbs online that it'd take months. It's taking though, new leaves are sprouting from the middle despite the other leaves looking like someone took a weedwacker to it.
For awhile, I was trying to find the Hen and Chicks that I once had YEARS ago. If you can see the tiny green stuff on the left side of the pot, that was the first one I got but I said, "It's too leafy. The one I had a long time ago was thick, fleshy, like the leaves on a jade plant." So they bought this one and both were put into a pot for decoration. :)
And at last, the walnut tree that I've been raving/ranting about. As you can see, the main part is blackish. After it was potted, near the base of the tree was that sudden branch growth in just a few days.
