There are plans of tearing up the beds so I decided to take "before" pictures.

like in 2001.

Compared to what it looked
like last year.

PLANS: Going to tear up the bed and put up a wishing well to hide the cement block.

HISTORY: When the old septic tank broke and a new one was put into the ground, it left us with this ugly cement brick to deal with. A bed was established around the front of it so that it could be hidden from view.

PLANS: The bed at the base of this wisteria is going to be removed. A mound of dirt will be established around it with no wood borders. Some bulbs will be moved to this spot.

HISTORY: There used to be a great big ol' tree there. The wisteria climbed to the top of this tree and it had a flowery display. The smell of the wisteria was amazing. The tree was chopped down for various reasons and the wisteria continued to grow. Eventually, a lattice was set up to let it grow up on.

PLANS: I believe the general idea is to get rid of this entire thing and relocate the bulbs elsewhere.

The two trees that the garden-wall meet against, both are dead (as you can see how one lacks a lot of bark). Both are going to be chopped down this year.

HISTORY: It was built so that it could be overwhelmed with plants. A special garden to adore, I suppose. As the years passed, weeds took over, mysterious animals causing damage overnight, etc.

PLANS: The twin beds were going to be removed but since it was just built last year, It's going to last one more year. I plan to stuff the entire thing full of seeds that I can find. Why not?

HISTORY: The garden (to grow squash, cucumbers, etc) was further down the hill but last year, the garden was moved uphill so that it won't drown in the water. However, because of the rainy summer, the garden died.

PLANS: Going to be removed. It has run its course.

HISTORY: It was planted because the area was looking bare.

Angel Garden

PLANS: No idea if it is going to be removed or not.
