This is Cassidy. She was born
8/5/97 She was the sweetest dog I've ever known. If I sat next to someone
else on the coutch (I had 2 roomies then) she would force herself onto the
couch between us and stare at the other person while leaning on me as if to
say only SHE could sit next to me. She knew she wasn't allowed to beg for
food so when I was cooking she would sit behind me and watch and the second
I turned around she would turn her head and look behind her. She slept with
me every night I had her. I love this dog still. I have to hold back tears
even now thinking about her. You can't imagine what it feels like to go to
the pound to pick up your dog and have them tell you that you can't have her
because she's an ABPT therefore too dangerous to release and cry and throw a
fit and beg them to let you have your dog only to have to go home and sit in
your livingroom 3 days later knowing she's being put to sleep because of the
breed she is. Living in Ohio I think about this alot which is why I've gone
head first into fighting BSL. Don't let this happen to your dog. Thank your
lucky stars you have all the friends you do and you have the internet to
connect you with all these other APBT lovers. Maybe if I had the internet
and the friends I have today I'd still have my Cassidy.. Maybe not.. We
cannot take anymore chances.... I love you Cassidy. |
