Noble Electronics was started in approximately 1987 By John Noble while he was going to Alfred State College for some extra cash while he was in school.. He worked out of a spare bedroom in his free time for mostly his friends at first. after a couple of years his business grew to the point that the spare bedroom was too small to accompany his business any more and needed a bigger space so moved out of the bedroom into a store front on main St in Friendship NY, as small as the town was and as depressed as the economy was John struggled to make any money here and was forced to relocate the business to a bigger city Noble Electronics moved to Olean NY where it could grow, he moved the business to a 2 car garage in Olean NY which was located behind a house and erected a sign out front of the house, Johns lease on the garage expired 1 year later and was again forced to move the business, seeing a old dry cleaners available across the street acquired that building and renovated it to suit his needs for the new business and the business took off. John took ill approximately 4 years later and left the business to his only living brother Don Stivers which moved the business to his home on windfall rd in Olean NY due to financial reasons and set up a small shop in a friends business on West State St in Olean NY to keep Johns dream alive and has been running the business ever sense John died in may of 2001 due to his illness. |
