Henry Lai, Profesor Investigador de Bioingeniería en la Universidad de Washington, en una carta de fecha 11 de enero de 1999 enumera, entre algunos de los efectos producidos por las radiaciones electromagnéticas provenientes de las antenas repetidoras de telefonía celular, los siguientes:

El Dr Henry Lai menciona en su carta que “ uno tiene que considerar el efecto provocado por exposiciones a largo plazo. La gente que vive cerca de las antenas está siendo constantemente expuesta a esa radicación por meses o años." Y añade: "Las dosis pequeñas se acumulan a lo largo de períodos más largos de tiempo y eventualmente conducirán a efectos nocivos"
