Nature Study with Kris. (worms, composting, small garden) Home School Community Garden. I currently have nine 4x4 plots for planting vegetables in my garden and I plan to add more. I would assign a plot to a family and they would come and plant their garden. I would supply all of the
materials, tools, help in ordering seeds, planning and provide teaching and training. The only rule is that everything used in the garden must be organic. Your family gets to plant, harvest and preserve the vegetables on your plot!

I would offer classes about square-foot gardening, composting, vermi- composting (worms), organic gardening methods, raising chickens & egg production and recycling.

We could have an end of season harvest party and I could teach the children how to preserve their harvest through canning, dehydrating or freezing. I am also considering buying more chicks this Spring
and could give each family some chicks to raise at home! (I would make up kits for anyone interested) There would be a minimal charge per plot and for materials used in classes and parties to help cover
my expenses. If you are interested in learning more contact Kris for dates and times.
