What can you do when things get spun beyond your control?
In my experience with Honda Canada, I've been shown that the manufacture tries to give you one option and one option only. That option is theirs. It's what is convenient for them.
Know this. There are many opportunities and different plans of action you can take to get results. Although, sometimes it may seem to be absolutely one sided and nothing would feel better than to take it out physically; I can assure you that is the wrong plan of action and in the long run will cost you and you could even end up in jail.
Always, try to work it out with the dealer first. Talk to the owner or get as far up the chain of command as possible. If there is no resolve you can write a letter disclosing your complaints and follow it up with several calls to the manufacture or head office. Once again try speaking to the owner or somebody high up in the chain of command. You can ask the company for a listing of the people in charge. They are supposed to disclose this information. Another option you may want to try is the newspaper. Most newspapers have a column where you can write to the editor and speak your mind. Other's have certain individuals that go after these companies that take advantage of the consumer.
If there's no resolve yet, you may want to get some legal advise and take action. The dealer or manufacture may be a little more persuaded to do something about it if they feel they may have to go to court, or if there will be any bad publicity surrounding their name.
Feel free to speak your mind to everybody and anybody that will listen. Word of mouth can "make you or break you." Make a web page and broadcast it to the world. But before you do this make sure you have papers and documents to back up your claims. - if you're having a hard time getting the dealers or manufactures to listen, do all of the above like I am.
