PERSONAL HISTORY:

Born on Summer in the Isle of Skye, Jenandra MacCoull is a member of the MacCoull sept of Clan MacDougall, one of the leading Clans on Summer. Her father, Owen, served with the Fourth Skye Rangers for ten years before he was medically retired. After his forced retirement his first wife, Sharon, divorced him and left taking their two sons with her. Believing he had something left to prove Owen set off for Solaris VII and the arenas. He spent three years there and fought with marginal success. On Solaris VII he met his current wife, Malinda, the youngest daughter of the owner of the stable he fought for. Unable to achieve the success he thought he had in him, Owen returned to Summer with his new wife. Young Jen was born shortly there after and was the first of their four children. When she was two years old, her two half brothers, Gavin, age 11, and Arslan, age 9, became a part of the family after their mother died.

During her first sixteen years, Jen lived and learned amongst the Clan, becoming quite adept at swordplay and horsemanship. She was the jewel of her fathers eye and he saw in her what he thought he had in himself so long ago. At the age of 12, her father began teaching her the basics of piloting a BattleMech, just as he had done with her two half brothers, on one of the familys AgroMechs. His suspicions about her were validated as she took to the machine very quickly. In a few short weeks she was the equal of the most experienced of the familys AgroMech drivers.

At age 16, she was sent to Skye and enrolled at Sanglamore. Like her father and brothers before her, she proved to be an excellent student and a superb Mech pilot. While in attendance there she held the school fencing title for two years and the womens champion in the Modern Pentathlon in her final year. She graduated third in her class and went onto Officers Candidate School, where she finished at the head of her class. She was then given her choice of assignments and chose the Fourth Skye Rangers, the unit where her father was posted during his career. This posting would prove to be the turning point in her life, one that would set her on a course that she had not planned for.

Her first two years with the Fourth were well within the norm with the occasional raid to fend off or take in. Shortly after being promoted to First Leutnant, a young Leutnant by the name of Jason Langlois, a son of the Duke of Edasich, arrived in her battalion. He was typical of his breed and thought that noble privileges extended to her. One night, after being rebuffed on several earlier occasions, young Jason was not going to take no for an answer. After an Officers Mess, he followed her back to her quarters. Suprising her, he forced her into her apartment and proceeded to rape her. As there were no witnesses to the act and none of her superiors was willing to believe her account of the crime, the Dukes son was never charged. Once again, politics and social standing got in the way of Justice and she decided to take it into her own hands.

A couple of weeks later, during fencing practice, she managed to get herself partnered up with the young nobleman. It was at this moment that she would get her revenge and exact her own brand of justice on the man who had defiled. Jason a fair swordsman, but was not in the same class as Jen. She toyed with him for ten minutes, before she began a series of whirling slashes that would leave deep scars on his face and neck, as well as removing a large portion of his left ear. For this attack on the nobleman she was brought up on charges of conduct unbecoming and malicious assault. The Board of Inquiry dismissed the assault charge due to mental anguish, but upheld the conduct charge. For her crime she was dishonorably discharged from military service.

Feeling the shame of her rape and subsequent discharge, she could not return home to Summer. She made her way to Galatea to seek employment as a mercenary. However she was going to have to wait a few months before taking on a job, as she found she was three months pregnant when she hit the ground. She did not believe in abortion and carried to her child to full-term. During her pregnancy, she decided it was time for her to tell her parents what had happened. Her mother arrived some time before the birth of her son, whom she named Owen after her father. She and her mother arranged for her son to be taken back to Summer and raised as a proper member of the family.

Three months after the birth of her son, she joined up with a newly forming mercenary unit called Gallands Jagdpanzers. Karl Galland saw Jen and her Griffin as a welcome addition to his new lance-sized. The unit consisted of Lieutenant Gallands Phoenix Hawk, her Griffin, Stan Petroffs Vulcan and Su-jin Paks Valkyrie. The unit had four technicians and Leopard-class DropShip at their disposal. Karl had already secured a garrison contract with the Capellan Confederation and they made their way to their first assignment, the planet of Zanzibar, close the borders with the Federated Suns and Taurian Concordat. During the four-month long journey, she made the best of her time by learning the rudiments of mandarin Chinese from one of the technicians, Sally Chen.

The assignment turned out to be relatively boring as Zanzibar was a backwater world that survived modestly on exporting raw mineral ore and the Zanzibar Date, a fruit believed to act as on aphrodisiac. When the unit was not on patrol or training with the local militia, she occupied her time with sword practice, with both her traditional claymore and a new found dadao made of the finest Zanzibari steel. After finding a local swordmaster to teach her the proper use of her new weapon, she practiced diligently and soon was the near equal of her instructor.

Three months before the Jagdpanzers were to rotate from Zanzibar to the planet of Tall Trees; tragedy struck the unit and the people of Zanzibar as a virulent form of influenza swept across the two northern continents. The pandemic killed one out of every seven people on the planet and struck the unit even harder. Of the seventeen men and women attached to the Jagdpanzers, only twelve would survive. Among the dead were Lt. Galland, Stan, Su-jin, Sally Chen and Brad Green, another technician. The core of the unit was gone and they would not be able to fulfill the remainder of their contract with the Capellans. Once the virus had run its course, Jen contacted their Capellan liaison and managed to clear the contract by 'selling' Stan Petroff's Vulcan to the Capellan authorities at greatly reduced price.

After a discussion with the DropShip captain and the two survivng techs, Lauren Roberts and Olivia Descartin, it was decide that she and the techs would go to the Canopus and attempt to become citizens of that realm. The DropShip captain was going to return to Sheratan and return Karl's phoenix Hawk and go back to work for his family. With the money that she received from the sale and what remained of the unit's funds, Jen gave the DropShip sufficient funds to transport them to Canopus and then return to Sheratan.

Several months later, Jen, Lauren and Olivia arrived on Canopus and immediately sought out the proper agency from which they could get citizenship in the Magistracy. This would not come without a price as nearly half of their remaining funds went to the ministry official in order to expedite their citizenship. One of the necessary requirements for citizenship was military service, which they were willing to fulfill. With the funds available, she purchased a Commander's commission for herself and an Ensign's commission for Lauren Roberts, who had demonstrated some skill in piloting the Valkyrie. Olivia signed up as a technician and was happy to receive the rank of Corporal. One of Jen's conditions was that all three would be assigned to the same unit. The officials in the Magistracy Support Corps obliged this request and sent them to the First Canopian Fusiliers' Second Recon Battalion on Dunianshire.

Dunianshire reminded Jen of her home on Summer as the planet was populated in large part by those of Scottish ancestry. The world was relatively untouched, but it had one of the two functioning Battlemech production facilities in the Magistracy. And thus was the most protected planet in the real, outside of Canopus IV itself. The three liked what they saw and began to take up roots on Dunianshire and bought a small home and invested in the local economy. In two years, the Three Sisters, as they were now called had amassed enough wealth, that they could now afford to leave service if they so chose. The three decided to stay in service. Jen bought herself the command of the First Fusiliers' 8th Light Horse Battalion, when the previous commander suffered career ending injuries in bandit suppression raid. Lauren then bought Jen's old commission and transferred to the Second Battalion. Olivia Descartin then bought herself an Ensign's command and took over the Second Battalion's technical service branch. The three serve in these capacities to this very day.

Jenandra MacCoull is 1.8 meters [5' 11"] tall and weighs 62 kg [137 lbs]. She is considered to be beautiful by many as she combines the best of her Scottish and Spanish ancestry. Long of leg and black of hair, many a man has attempted to woo her, but to no avail. Since her rape, she has no known relations with men, and is believed to be celibate, though those jealous of her success have speculated differently. She wears the standard jumpsuit as her normal duty uniform, but accentuates it with her school rag, the regimental patch on her left shoulder and the Canopian emblem on right shoulder. Her dress uniform consist of black jackboots, close fitting black lacks, an orange ruffled silk shirt and red military dinner dress jacket. She wears her school rag as a sash around her waist and her Clan's tartan as a sash that hangs from her left shoulder to her right hip. On her left hip she wears her claymore, which has been given a new basket hilt made of gold and silver. In the field she includes her Zanzibari dadao in her field kit, along with the standard battle dress uniform, an automatic pistol and submachinegun. These weapons are for use should she ever be separated from her Griffin.
