2 Kings 19:1-7 NASB

It's amazing to see who Hezekiah turns to when he became afraid, when he didn't know what to do. He turned to a man of God, Isaiah, so he could speak to God on behalf of Hezekiah. And even more so, Hezekiah doesn't ask God to destroy them or to teach them a lesson. He sends messengers to Isaiah saying, "Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God..." He says someone is trying to put the Lord God Almighty in a box, something that will not hold Him. "What do I do?"
And sometimes that is what I cry out. That should be the cry of my heart every time I come to an obstacle, that is, until I begin responding to those obstacles as God would have me just as Jesus did. But that isn't always my reaction to the sin in my life or around me. I've been reading The Pursuit of Holiness and it's been really good thus far. What I've seen from it, it's not a "Here do this" kind of book. It more relates to here's how we should approach sin and holiness because of what God did through Christ for us and for His glory. And that is what Hezekiah is doing right here. He is going to the authority to see what to do with this obstacle that's been presented to him and his people.

Heavenly Father, thank You. Thank You. Thank You for Your provisions. Thank You for Jess and the blessing provided through our relationship. Thank You for the love she has spent on me, and I thank You for the love I have been able to pour into her. Thank You for Calvary, and the good work they are doing in Your Name. I thank You for good solid friends, who have the kingdom of heaven on their minds. Lord, You know the details of what I could ask for, but I wanted to praise You. Father God, You take control of everything and make it happen, according to Your awesome and mighty will. Praise be to Your Holy Name. Glory to You. Thank You, God.
