A friend of mine is struggling with love in her life. She has a friend whom she loves and from what she says, their love is unspoken. He is on a dangerous curve. An old girlfriend of his has reentered his life, and he says he doesn't want a relationship that isn't Godly. The fact is it seems he's seeking a relationship with this ex, a non-Christian.
What he doesn't see is his own heart. It's full of rotten horrible stuff. In Exodus 4:6-7, God shows Moses where his heart will lead him. Moses is told to put his hand into his bosom and pull it out. It becomes leprous and rotten. If left to our own desires and devices, our hearts would lead us to death. God doesn't want that, so He tells Moses to put his hand back into his bosom and pull it out again. It is restored. That is what God does to our heart, if we're willing. He restores us, replaces our heart with His. Takes our will and replaces it with His.
So I guess what I would like is for anyone reading this to pray for my friends. Pray that they seek God, and make His heart theirs. Allow God to shape and make them full. Pray that they seek His love before seeking another's.
As for me, you may pray that as well. Pray that I continue to seek God in a way I have never done before. That I seek to give Him everything, that I may receive His glory to share with everyone I meet. You're pretty skasome in my eye, but you're awesome in the eyes of the LORD.
