We successfully presented our opposition to the Zoning Board this evening and in conjunction with Verizon's unconvincing testimony- the Zoning Board denied the cell tower proposal. Thanks for all the support you have given to make this happen!!! Thanks to our GREAT Middletown Zoning Board members!!! The variance was denied by a 7-0 vote
NOTICE:
BOE members Joan Minnuies and Sherry Gervater both motioned to have a policy in place that would force the BOE to reject all future bids to place Cell Tower and like equipment on the grounds of any of our schools. BOE ended up voting to put it as part of their "good neighbor" policy. The vote passed 5:4.

The Middletown Board of Education and Superintendent have voted to allow VERIZON to build a 120+ ft. cellular tower and equipment shelter on the property of Middletown High School South.
DO NOT LET THE BOARD OF EDUCATION AND VERIZON DO THIS TO OUR COMMUNITY. ACT NOW!!!! LET THEM KNOW YOU ARE AGAINST THE TOWER!!!!
