| Punctaform is defined as a circular formation of fungus, but what you won't find in the dictionary is a picture of this dynamic trio. The line up consists of Calvin McElroy on guitar and vocals, Shane Zelman on bass and backing vocals, and Aaron Brink on drums and backing vocals. The band formed on 2001 in St.Albert Alberta, and although they have been around for about a year, their fan base is growing fast. "Punctaform is the best christian punk band in the Edmonton area. That boy's a Yellow Jacket!!" says one of the bands fans Bob Tom Paul. Punctaform's music takes inpiration from many different styles including hardcore, oi, punk, rock and roll, and bubblegum rock to make an electrifiing, energetic wall of sound topped by soulfull, rock anthem vocals. Although this trio is very much about the music, it doesn't end there. The message is the foundation that Punctaform builds it's musical structure upon. "We don't like to tell people what to do, but we do like to sing about what God's done for us. Music is a ministry, and this is our service."
