The day she would marry Trunks Briefs, whom she had had a crush on as long as she could remember. "So, my best friend is marrying my brother." Bra, Trunks' younger sister and Pan's best friend said, helping Pan into her wedding dress. "This ought to be interesting." "Oh, shut up. I found out that my uncle Goten proposed to you, and you accepted." Pan retorted. "How did you find out about that?" Bra asked. "He told me. And anyway, it wasn't hard to figure out why you were in such a good mood these last few weeks." Pan replied. *I'd walk halfway around the world For just one kiss from you Far beyond the call of love The sun, the stars, the moon As long as your love's there to lead me I won't lose my way believe me Even through the darkest night you know* "Pan, dear, are you seriously going to wear that bandanna on your wedding day?" Pan's mother, Videl asked. "Of course. It's good luck for me." she replied. "What time is it?" "Nearly eleven." Marron, another of Pan's good friends, answered. Despite the fact that Marron had also had a crush on Trunks, she was not bitter about the fact that Pan was going to marry him and they were still good friends. "Damn, I'm nervous." Pan said. "Well, I would be, too. You're only marrying the cutest guy on the planet." Marron said. "Oh, thanks a lot." Pan replied sarcastically. *I'd go anywhere for you Anywhere you asked me to I'd do anything for you Anything you asked me to* "Don't worry." Bra said. "Where's Chichi?" Videl asked. "Right here." she said, entering the room. "Pan, you look beautiful." "Thanks, baasan." Pan said. "Hey, am I too late to help Pan get ready?" Bulma, Bra and Trunks' mother, said. "No, I still need help with my makeup." Pan replied. "Where's tousan? Is he actually here?" Bra asked. "Yeah, he is. He's standing in the corner of Trunks' room." Bulma said, sitting down and digging through Pan's makeup case. "This reminds me so much of your wedding, Chichi." "Doesn't it? Or Videl's." Chichi replied. "You know, Chichi, Pan looks so much like you it's strange." Videl said. "Yeah, you're right." Bulma said. "That's a good thing, right?" Pan asked, jokingly. "Of course." Chichi replied as everyone laughed. "Geez, it's already eleven. We can't keep everyone waiting too much longer." I'm almost done." Bulma said. When she finished, she handed Pan a mirror. "Wow, you did a really good job. Thanks, Bulma." she said. "Gee, kaasan, I wasn't aware you could do makeup that well. It's not like you ever wear any." Bra said. "Okay, let's go." Marron said, getting up and smoothing a wrinkle out of her light-blue bridesmaid dress. "Yeah, let's" Pan said. When they finally arrived where they were holding the ceremony and Pan saw Trunks, her heart stopped. The one moment she had been waiting for, as long as she could remember, had finally come. Then a single memory flitted across her mind. *I used to think that dreams were just For sentimental fools And I'd never find someone Who'd give their love so true But I knew the very minute Couldn't live my life without you in it And now I want the whole wide world to know* She had just returned from a trip with Pan and Marron. They had travelled all over Earth, and were eager to finally be home after being gone a year. When they had arrived back at the Capsule Corp., Trunks had been waiting for them. He had offered to walk her home. As he did, he told her about how much he had missed her, and waited for her return. "I thought I was going to go crazy if you stayed away any longer." he had said, pulling a small, black velvet box out of his pocket. "Son Pan, will you marry me?" "Oh, Trunks...of course I'll marry you! I've been waiting for you to ask me that as long as I could remember." she had replied, tears of joy in her eyes as Trunks had slipped the ring on her finger. "I guess it was you being away so long that made me realize how much I loved you." he had said back. *I'd go anywhere for you Anywhere you asked me to I'd do anything for you Anything you asked me to* Now, four months later as she walked down the aisle, Pan could think of nothing else except for how happy she had been that day and how happy she was today. All of her dreams her finally coming true. As she stood next to Trunks, she heard nothing, saw nothing but the loving look in his deep blue eyes, felt nothing but the tears in her own eyes. She didn't see the tears in Videl's eyes, or the intense look of pride in Gohan's eyes that he reserved especially for 'his little girl'. She didn't see the look of immense happiness in Bra's eyes, knowing she would soon be in the same place, or Chichi's tears of joy, knowing that her granddaughter had finally grown up. She didn't see the look of almost sadness on Marron's face. She didn't see anything or anyone but Trunks. She didn't pay attention to a word said. She could only think about how this was the best day of her life. When the time finally came to exchange vows, she looked up. *Your love as far as I can see Is all I'm ever gonna need There's one thing for sure I know it's true Baby I'd go anywhere for you* "Trunks Briefs, do you take Son Pan to be your wife?" the priest asked. "I do." he replied. "And Pan, do you take Trunks to be your husband?" "Of course I do." she replied. "You may now kiss the bride." the priest said, and she was lost in the kiss she shared with Trunks, the first one as his wife. This is my first DBZ fic I've ever written. I didn't know I could write romance so well!!! Normally, I write angst and drama, that kind of stuff. And I've never done a songfic before, either.
