In Dreams--part 1

Disclaimer: I do not own any Dragonball/Z/GT, just my History of Trunks, 
Bardock: Father of Goku and Mystical Adventure movies. I wish that I 
owned Trunks and Goten, though :)

A/N: In this, Pan's supposed to be about ten, so I'm not sure how old 
everyone else would be. And this is only my second DBZ fic, so be nice!!!

  "Tousan! Kaasan!" A shriek pierced through the night. Son Gohan got 
out of bed and entered his daughter Pan's room, followed by his wife, 
Videl.
  "What's wrong, Pan-chan?" he asked the little girl, who was sitting 
up in her bed.
  "I had a nightmare...it was really scary." she replied.
  "Are you okay?" Videl asked her.
  "Hai, I think so...but it seemed so real!" Pan replied.
  "It was just a dream. They can't hurt you because they aren't real." 
Gohan said. Pan nodded. "Now try to go back to sleep, okay?"
  "Okay." Pan said. But she didn't go back to sleep right away. She 
sat and thought about her dream, the same one she had been having for 
two weeks. It started out simple and innocent enough. She was walking 
in a forest with her best friend Bra, her uncle Goten, and Bra's older 
brother Trunks. Then they were surrounded by a group of shadows, and it 
lifted them up into the air. She tried to think about what it meant, if 
it was a warning of some sort. But even though she tried not to, Pan 
soon fell asleep.

  "Gosh, Pan-chan, did you get any sleep last night?" Bra asked, playing 
with a strand of her turquoise hair. 
  "Not much. I had a bad dream." Pan replied.
  "So did I. In mine, we were walking in the woods with Trunks and Goten, 
and we were surrounded by...something that looked like it was shadows. It 
lifted us up into the air." Bra said.
  "That's the same dream I had last night!" Pan replied.
  "Weird. I wonder if Trunks or Goten had that dream, too." Bra wondered. 
  "Well, let's go ask them." Pan said.
  "Where are they?" Bra asked.
  "Umm...That's a good question. This morning I think Goten said something 
about the forest." Pan replied. 
  "Okay. Let's go find them." Bra said. The two of them began walking 
through the woods. 
  "I can sense somebody's ki. I think it's them." Pan said after about 
five minutes.
  "It's definitely them." Bra stated a moment later. After another 
minute or two, they came to a clearing. Sure enough, Trunks and Goten 
were there. 
  "What are you two doing?" Trunks asked.
  "We could ask you the same." Bra replied. "We came looking for you."
  "What for?" Goten asked.
  "We need to ask you a question, that's what." Pan replied.
  "Like what?" Goten asked.
  "We've both been having these really weird dreams, and we were 
wondering if you guys have been, too. In it the four of us are walking 
through the woods when we're surrounded by shadowy things and lifted 
up in the air by them." Bra explained. 
  "You know, now that you mention it, I have had that dream before." 
Trunks said.
  "Yeah, me too." Goten added.
  "That's weird. I wonder what they mean?" Pan asked.
  "I don't know, but maybe we should figure it out at home. It looks like 
it's gonna rain." Trunks said, looking up at the sky. It was getting 
cloudy, and rumbles of thunder could be heard in the distance. 
  "Yeah, okay." Bra said. They began walking back out of the forest. 
After a while, it began to get foggy.
  "This is just like the dream." Pan said. 
  "Yeah, you're right. It is." Goten said. They were nearly to the edge 
of the forest, and the fog was getting thicker. Goten and Trunks turned
around to see that Pan and Bra were no longer behind them.
  "Bra? Pan?" They called. They heard a scream from overhead. Looking 
up, they saw Bra and Pan being lifted up in the air.
  "Nande kuso?" Goten asked.
  "I don't know, but I think we should get out of here." Trunks replied. 
They began running, and didn't stop until they were back at the Capsule 
Corp. (A/N: as far as I know, there's no forest near CC. I made it up.)
  "Tousan! Kaasan!" Trunks yelled as they entered the building.
  "Gohan!!!" Goten yelled. All three came around a corner just as Trunks 
and Goten ran around it. Trunks just barely missed colliding with 
Vegita, and Goten ran straight into Gohan, knocking them both down. 
  "What the hell's going on?" Vegita asked.
  "Bra...and Pan...disappeared." Goten managed to say, as he got up.
  "What??!!" Gohan, Bulma and Vegita said at the same time.
  "We don't know what happened. We were in the woods, and it looked 
like it was going to rain, so we decided to leave. It was getting 
foggy, and when we turned around, Bra and Pan weren't there." Trunks 
said.
  "They were being lifted up in the air by something." Goten added.
  "We don't know anything else." Trunks said, well aware that his 
father's anger was rising. 
  "Where could they have gone?" Bulma asked. Trunks and Goten shrugged.
  "Up." Goten said.
  "Well, that much is obvious, you baka!" Vegita shouted. 
  "Calm down." Gohan said, knowing full well what would happen if 
Vegita didn't get his temper in control.
  "Calm down??? Calm down??!! My daughter's disappeared!!!" Vegita 
shouted.
  "And so has mine." Gohan said. "What I was trying to say, is that 
we can find them by searching for their ki." 
  "Hai, that would work." Bulma said.
  "What were you doing in the forest?" Gohan asked.
  "Nothing...we were going to do some training when they came. They 
wanted to ask us about some dream they were having." Goten replied.
When Gohan stared at him, he added, "Come on, Gohan-kun, would I lie 
to you if Pan was in danger?"
  "No, you're right." Gohan said. "What about this dream?"
  "They said that the four of us were walking in the woods when we 
were surrounded by shadows or something like that. Then it lifted us 
up into the air. They wanted to ask us if we had that dream, too." Trunks 
explained.
  "Did you?" Bulma asked.
  "Hai." Goten and Trunks answered in unison.

				Meanwhile...

  Pan and Bra woke up to find themselves in a large room. 
  "Where are we?" Bra asked.
  "I don't know." Pan replied. "What happened to Goten and Trunks?" Bra 
shrugged. A door opened and a man entered. 
  "Who are you? Where are we?" Bra asked.
  "Where are Goten and Trunks?" Pan asked.
  "Nosy, aren't you. My name is Shiyouma. I can't tell you where you 
are, and I don't know who Trunks and Goten are." the man said.
  "They were the two boys with us." Bra said.
  "Oh, the purple-haired kid and the black-haired kid? I don't know. 
They got away." Shiyouma said.
  "Why are we here?" Pan asked.
  "You'll find out soon enough." Shiyouma said, leaving the room. He 
went down a hallway and entered another room. 
  "You have something to tell me, Shiyouma?" a woman's voice asked. 
  "Hai, my lady. We have the girls. The boys, however, escaped before 
we could get them." Shiyouma replied, bowing. 
  "They did, now. We will have them soon enough." the woman said, 
turning around. She was tall, with red-gold hair and bright purple 
eyes. This was the woman known as the Shinomegami, the Goddess of 
Death.
