Tulsa

What a show! This was one that I didnt think I was going to get to see. I woke up the morning of the show, and couldnt go back to sleep. I had already decided that I couldnt go, taxes due, ect. Anyway I got up and was watching Rock fest and still feeling sad about not getting to go. It just kept bugging me, and I told myself, ok if there is another way to come up with some cash to go then I will find it. Then I said, "if they play a video with Sammy in it next, then I am suppose to go, and I can find a way to put back the money I would use for a ticket later on." Well the very next video was Van Halen Dreams, and I think I almost fainted. I told myself, ok I am going to find a way to get me a ticket. My 28 year old son looked on the internet, and remembered a place here in Oklahoma that sold tickets. He called them for me and they happen to have 1 single ticket they couldnt sell, and they told him he could have it for half the cost. I was on cloud 9. My son decided to drive me to Tulsa, since my car hasnt been running in over 6 months, and my hubby truck wasnt running very well, so we headed out for Tulsa.
I went into the concert and about 15 mins later, my son showed up inside. He said he had got him a ticket for $10. He has gone to many Sammy Hagar concerts with me. It's kind of sad that there were tickets left, to me Sammy should have sold out the first day they went on sale. But then I realized that there may be more people out there that are in a financial bind right now, and just couldnt go. Thats ok, it looked to me like it was packed, so no ticket went unused.
The concert was awsome! I was actually surprised how well Mikey did singing. Mikey did several songs before Sammy came out and did his stuff. I am so glad to see Mikey not with Eddie, and doing stuff with Sammy. (Eddie and David can have each other for all I care. I have never been a Roth fan).
Sammy did Dreams in a very slow version. I liked it. Dreams is my favorite Van Hagar song, and I could dig dreams anyway he did it. The only song Sammy didnt do was "Eagles fly", but thats ok also. I did love hearing " the girl gets around" from the footloose soundtrack. I love his new song "open". That is one I could play over and over, and never get tired of. Then "one way to rock", that song says it all!
"It's all just mental masterbation"!
I need not say more.
Thank you again so much Sammy, for all you do!
