I am using K&N filter part # RU-1810 right on the turbo.  Just take the airbox assembly off and slap the filter on.  Makes the turbo louder than the engine.
Mods
K&N filter
Heads up display (HUD)
The HUD projects the speed and other info onto the windshield.  Very cool feature.  I have installed two of them it takes time and a complete wiring diagram for the car's instrument cluster and HUD.
Lit up "INTERCOOLED TURBO"
Why didn't Pontiac make it light up in the first place?  Anyway just take the cluster out and use sandpaper to remove some material behind the words.  Shine a flashlight from behind to see how it's coming out.  Then put a bulb in the socket and you're done.  Very cool at night.
White 5 spoke wheels
I always thought these wheels would look awesome on my car.  I got them on ebay and had them put on at pep boys.  Makes the car look 100% sportier.  They are also 1/2 inch wider than the stock wheels and also lighter.
AC condenser fins mod
This helps get some more air to the intercooler.  Remove the intercooler, then use needle nose pliers to remove all of the condenser fins that are in front of it.  A difference can be felt in cool weather.  But hey, it's a free mod so why not.
Topgun 160 chip and thermostat
The chip raises max boost to about 12 psi.  Works with a 160 degree thermostat to keep the engine nice and cool.  A great mod that takes about 1/2 second from your 1/4 mile time.
White interior painting
I don't know if this is really considered a "mod", but I've seen a lot of white GP's with some white on the inside and it looks good.  I had some spare parts to paint so it can be easily removed if I want.
Blow off valve (BOV)
I recently received my bov in the mail, it's a JDM universal stage 3.  I thought it was a small one but it's 7 inches tall and has a 1.5" flange.  It also has a trumpet so I'm willing to bet it will be nice and loud.
Flush mount spoiler
I've had this in the garage for a few months.  It's a flush mount style like found on the Taurus SHO until 1995.  Made by an aftermarket company for the 88-96 GP.  Haven't gotten around to putting it on since it's not painted yet.  I think it will look good and blend well with the car.  It should complete the sport sedan exterior that I want.

The following mods are awaiting install.
Here are some mods that I have done to my STE Turbo.  I think every one was worth the effort.  About a year ago I had an idea of how I wanted the car to be set up.  Now I'm pretty much done and I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
Two gauge pillar pod
I have a spare pillar, and a universal two gauge pod that will be molded together.  I have a VDO 15psi boost gauge and trans temp gauge.  I chose VDO for both since it matches the stock gauges well.
Strut tower brace (STB)
I went to my local Pontiac dealer and picked up this GM "F-bar" which is used on some of the newer GP's.  Part # (will add) and only cost $12.  Test fit the bar and mark off where the holes line up.  Remove the strut covers and drill the holes, I used a 3/8" bit.  Then install using the washers and nuts provided.  Improves steering feel that was noticed on the first highway on ramp.
