Did they invent heavy metal? Well, while it would be unfair to blame them for something dreadful as say slayer, they were certainly responsible for the trapings, images, and even the excess that came to be known as that much-loved and much hated musical form. The difference is they generally made it sound good and often great by taking the white boy blues originality and taking it to the wildest extremes.  Actually Led Zepplin rose from the ashes of the band called The Yardbirds, gutarist jimmy page had been leading a post unit called the new yardbirds which he dispandedin 1968 to create his dream band called psychedellic blues. Recruting his friend badssist John Paul Jones (who played numerous sessions with page throughtout the 60's, page found ywo talented novices in drummer John 'bonzo' bonnam and singer Robert Plant.

The drummer of the rock band The Who Moom the loon or as you might know him as Keith Moon reportedly give the group its name when after hearing the demo tapes he said the band would sink like a Led Zepplin but Led Zepplin seemed to take off Immediately, evencially becoming one of the most popular rock bands of all time.  Their apeal never seemed to end until they disbanded following Bonzo's death in 1980.

In 1969 Led Zepplin released their first album titled Led Zepplin whicht featured my favourite Led Zepplin song called Dazed and confused and also contained a Led Zepplin classic called Comunications breakdown.  In that same year Zepplin produced another album which has one of the reconized songs of all time on it. The album is called Led Zepplin2 and the song is titled Whole lotta love and also features another favourite of mine Moby Dick.  Another year later Zepplin mastered another great album titled Led Zepplin3.  Then another year later and their 4th album in 2years the made another stunig album titled again like the other 3 Led Zepplin4, this has songs like "Black Dog"   and the stunning "StairWay To Heaven".


In the next 9 years Led Zepplin made another 5 albums wich all were 10/10 or 5K as every1 know says, they were in order
