MOTORHEAD
WE ARE MOTORHEAD BORN TO KICK YOUR ASS!!!

The slogan for the loudest band in the world, in th early 80's
Motorhead topped the charts in the uk with a number of hits, but for the other 20years of the bands history are filled of number of band lineup changes, bad record deals and loads of legal hassle, nevertheless it has inspired nearly every metal band of the 80's and 90's, Metallica and Pantera are amoung the bands who worship Motorhead.

Motorheads persistance can be attributed for the determination of bassist/singer Lemmy kilmister, He formed the gropu in 1975 after being kicked out of Hawkwind because of a canadian drung bust.  He origanly wanted to call the band "Bastard" but after a few months and no radio play because the bands name was too rude they decided on the name Motorhead(slang fro speedfreak), and settled on there 1st lineup consisting of Lemmy singer/bass, Philthy "Animal" Taylor on drumms and "Fast" Eddy Clark on guitar, this lineup made the bands best albums to date, "Ace Of Spades", "Overkill" and the live album "No Sleep Till The Hammersmith".

In 1982 the trouble began when "Fast" Eddy left the band, but then in 1984 Lemmy brought in two more guitarists Wurzel and Phil Campbell, trouble with the English label "Bronze" stoped the band brining out a new studio album out untill 1986 titled  "Orgasmitron", this broke the bands momentum, but musically Motorhead have only got better as the years have gone by ad in 1991 they earned a Grammy nomination with the album "1916".  During the 90s both touble and music exellence have followed the band, They lost drummer Philthy Taylor and guitarist Wurzel,  but soon after the brought in Mikkey Dee the 1st and only american in Motorhead on drumms nd have continud has a trio, in 1995 Motorhead found there 1st permanent lable with "CMC", The 6 albums Motorhead brought out in the 90s are all of what Motorhead prodused in the 70's and 80's, non stop heavy rock and roll, ironic lyricism and terminally bad boy attitued.
