If you are interested in metal or rock music i'm pretty sure you will like Metallica, the early 80's was a bleak time for the metal scene dominated by cheesy hair bubblegum rock bands that were dolled up with beefy guitarists and non-stop swearing, metallica had something all together different in mind.  Influenced by punk principles of raw musical directness and lyrical focus frought with a dark and brooding idealism.

Metallica's many strengths were evident from their debut album Kill Em All, this album was very fast pace heavy metal. In 1984 Metallica released their second album titled Ride to Lightening, this features one of my favourite Metallica songs called Creeping Death. Then in 1986 their album and one of the greatest of all time Master Of Puppets was released, this album has many great songs but my favourites are Master Of Puppets, Sanatarium and The Thing That Should Not Be.

Two years later in 1988 Metallica released their fourth and final with basist Cliff Berton before he died tragically when the tour bus crashed to promote the album ........And Justice For All.  This album produced a song called One, this is one of my and one of the greatest rock song of all time, Just 3 years later equipt with new bassist Jason Newstead produced another great rock album of all time which was titled Metallica, with the heavy songs like "Sad But True", "Enter Sandman" and "Of Wolf And Men" and the melodic songs like "Unforgivan" and "Nothing Else Matters" this album had everything a rock fan could need.

It wasnt untill 1996 untill Metallica came back with another album Titled "Load", although the older fans didnt like as Metallicas music did change but i one seen on tv a quote ones about Metallicas "new" music and that was "Metallica aint going soft, They are changeing with the times" wich was a a good way to discribe it, but with songs like "Aint My Bitch", "King Nothing" and "Hero of the day"   this album was going to be a Solid Metallica album, then a year later in 1997 Metallica released a new studio album titled simular to the last title "Re Load", again not a big hit with older Metallica fans but still another good album with songs like "Fuel" and "The memory remains" this was again going to be another great Metallica album.

Just another one year on and their eighth album titled "Damage Inc" Metallica had hit a good album in my eyes, with a cover of the old time rock n roll artist Bob Segers "Turn The Page" and a old Irish folk song, This song got big first time around by a great Irish rock band Thin Lizzy this song was called "Whiskey in the jar" A fav of myn aswell, in 1999 Metallica put it all on the line when they did a concert with a full orchestra behind them, this was a stunning concert and if you can go and buy the S&M cd its just a classic.
