| When I'm Gone by 3 Doors Down ~Kindof my theme song for Sirius. The main lyrics seem to describe his general attitude, while the chorus show that hidden vulnerability of his. Superman by Five for Fighting ~a song for Sirius' pain Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers ~how he's alone, only able to travel London under disguise of a dog, and rarely even that, and his sacrafice at the end. 45 by Shinedown ~mostly it was the lyrics "And I'm staring down the barrel of a 45 / swimming through the ashes of another life / no real reason to accept the way things have changed" and "everyone's always pointing their fingers / always condemning me / and no one knows what I believe" that seemed to fit Sirius the best. Again, a pain song, about everything he's lost since he was sent to Azkaban - how frustrating it must be to always have people assume you're a murderer. God, he seems to suffer so much, doesn't he? Fly Away by Lenny Kravitz ~If you take out the few references to another person (like 'ours', 'we', and 'with you') and it's the perfect song for how Sirius must have felt when he was younger and stuck at home with his horrible family. You Can't Take Me by Bryan Adams from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron soundtrack ~The absolute best song I've heard so far as Sirius's fugitive song, especially right after he gets out of Azkaban, and is trying to save Harry while avioding the dementors. Not to mention it's just a really good song. Sound the Bugle by Bryan Adams from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron soundtrack ~ A really good song for Sirius while at Azkaban, and the dispair he must of felt, and then how he pulled through in the end. Face it, the Spirit soundtrack is just chock-full of good songs :) Black Shuck by The Darkness ~OK, so I've never actually heard the song before, so I don't know whether it sounds like crap or not, but I stumbled across the lyrics. Oh, and in case you didn't know, Black Shuck is another name for the Grim - so there was no way I couldn't put this song on the list :) (Thanks Bri for lending me the CD - I didn't know this was THE The Darkness. Great song!) Brain Stew by Greenday ~Can any one say &"late night up doing howework"? We Are the Champions by Queen ~Here's my challange to everyone: when to Order finally defeats Voldemort and his Death Eaters, I want all of you to set down the book and sing this for Sirius, because he died for the cause. I think you can find the connections to this in the song on your own. Born to Be Wild by Steppinwolf ~Oh, come on - it is THE motorcycle song! Stray by Steve Conte ~Cuz, you know, Sirius is a stray of sorts. Doesn't belong with his family, outcast from wizarding society later in life...plus, he's a dog :) Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon ~Well, this one's for Moony. Werewolf; London; you get the idea. No One Lives Forever by Oingo Boingo ~I KNOW you can just hear Sirius say "Let's have a party - there's a full moon in the sky", and Remus, if only he had been human at the time, would have shuddered. This song: Sirius's policy on life...as well as the chorus being relivent to the Maruaders. until next |
