More pics of Seoul...
A nice day trip from Seoul is Pukhansan National Park.  (You take Line #7 to Tobangsan Station at one entrance to the park).  In the fall it is really pretty and not too hot for a comfortable hike.  In the summer I imagine the it is very hot so take lots of water...once you get to the top there are some nice views of the outskirts of Seoul.  You will also get to see all the old Korean men dressed like they are out to climb the Matterhorn...not to be missed!!!

If you are lucky you might just happen to be somewhere  at the same time as one of these Changing of the Guard (??) ceremonies...(This one is at Toksukkung).  I had gone there to see the Musee d'Orsay "Impressionisme" Exhibition.  I think it might still be open if you are an art lover.
There might be a schedule for these kind of events but to tell the truth I don't really know...if YOU do know send me an email and I will be sure to update this...
This is Changyeonggung Palace where the ashes of the Kings (& Queens?) of Korea are kept.  They also have a pit where they used to put the afterbirths of the Korean princes...it is near Hyehwa on Line #4 of the Seoul Subway.  (Hyehwa is also a good (& cheap) night life area for younger Koreans).
Namdaemun Gate is not far from Seoul Station...this is a huge market area where you can buy a large variety of things...a nice sightseeing walk is to go from Seoul Station to Namdaemun and then turn left (past Samsung Plaza) and walk up Gwanghwamun to Tokksukung Palace.  From Toksukkung it is not far to Kyongbukkung Palace.  If you really like walking & have a day to kill you can continue past Kyongbukkung all the way to Chadokkung Palace (Piwon Garden) & Changyeonggung.
This is Seoul Tower on Namsan Mountain ("san"=mountain).  You can take a cable car to the top and (on a clear day) see nice views of Seoul.  When I went I walked to the top and took the cable car down...if you want to walk I would recommend (based on experience) that your best bet is to take the cable car to the top on the way up and walk down on the way back.
At the top there is a restaurant and gift shop in case you have to have  a souvenir t-shirt of you and your boyfriend or girlfriend's visit.  & what better way than that to say "Sa rang hee" (I love you)???
