Janette Goleme, Soprano, is an established singer and soprano soloist in the Tri-state area. Her performance credits in opera, operetta, oratorio, and musical theater include appearances in with the Amato Opera, Bel Canto Opera, New Jersey State Opera, Light Opera Theater of New Jersey, and the New Jersey Opera Festival. She has also performed as soloist with the Riverdale Choral Society, Symposium Singers, Chorus of Communities, and in many area churches. In 1999, she was a quarterfinalist at ENMARK American Traditions International Competition in Savannah, Georgia.

Ms. Goleme holds a B.A in Music Education from Kean University, and a M.A. in Performance from Montclair State University. She has done post-graduate work at Temple University and Manhattan School of Music. She has maintained a private studio for voice and piano for many years.

As co-founder of the Light Opera Theater of New Jersey, Ms. Goleme has been involved in the directing, production, and well as the designing of costumes. She has also directed many school choirs and theatrical productions, in additionto community shows. other credits include working as a professional costumer for the Whole Theater Company of Montclair, New Jersey, which was founded by Olympia Dukakis. Ms. Goleme has performed in numerous children's productions and entertained at various community events.

Most recently, Ms. Goleme and Mr. Bill Lewis performed a Caberet at Danny's Starlight Room in New York City.

A member of Sigma Alpha Iota, Ms. Goleme served as the Scholorship Coordinator, and is presently the Vice President of Membership for the Northern New Jersey Alumnae Chapter.
