Happiness Part 2

HAPPINESS PART 2

AUTHORS NOTE: Read Happiness before reading this poem.

Like a thief in the night
You left my life
And suddenly the thorns grew back
And scratched my legs
And the roses once pure and red
Now crumble into dust
Surrounding me in pieces
And the leaves once green and fresh
Now fall, crushed and dried
Catching every tear I cry
And the roots shrivel up, lost
Because the perfect patch of happiness...
is gone.
