I THOUGHT I KNEW

I thought I knew just what I needed
I thought I knew what made me glad
I thought I knew what I was missing
Thought I knew what made me sad

I thought I knew he was the one
Thought I knew I'd spend forever
I thought I knew I'd never leave him
THought I knew he'd leave me never.

I thought I knew but was mistaken
Thought I knew but I was wrong
I thought I knew my whole life's plan
Thought I knew, but it was gone.

I thought I knew so very much
Thought I was even that much smarter
All the people told me different
But I held on just like a martyr.

I thought I knew so many things
But was just a silly girl
And even if we're not forever
This one is worth the whirl.
