This simple web site was put in place  to give you the local contact information you need to get involved with our study and training group and to redirect you to the central Russian Martial Art (Systema) web site where you may get detailed information regarding our martial art and our Chief Instructor Vladimir Vasiliev. Our Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula study and training  group is formative and our training times are set by mutual agreement at this time. In the near future, we will set specific days and times to train.

* There is no cost to participate in this study and training group.

* No previous martial art experience is necessary. In fact, you learn faster without previous martial art experience!

RUSSIAN MARTIAL ART (SYSTEMA)

Vladimir Vasiliev
Director and Chief Instructor of the Toronto School of Russian Martial Art.

Born in Russia, Vladimir received intense training from the top Special Operations Units instructors and is the top student of Mikhail Ryabko. Vladimir's work spans across 10 years of extensive military service with the Special Operations Unit of SPETSNAZ, including regular high-risk covert assignments and missions. He also served as trainer for paratroopers, SWAT teams, and elite bodyguards. Vladimir moved to Canada, and in 1993 founded the first school of Russian Martial Art outside Russia. He has since personally trained and certified over 50 qualified Russian Martial Art instructors in 7 countries, and has provided an outstanding instructional film collection.
