"Milestones: On the Mend" - SOW

Nathaniel Marston (Michael, One Life to Live) -- who attended the Daytime Emmys in a wheelchair -- showed up at Shorefront Friends for Hospice's softball game on June 5 on crutches. "I was crossing these roof decks [in Canada]," he explains of his life-imitating-art accident. "There were two decks next to each other, and there was no guard rail on the side. At the end of the night it was misty, and I was crossing back and said goodbye [to friends], and I wasn't paying attention. One foot slipped off, and the other one slipped off, and there I was, plummeting." He fractured his back vertebrae and shattered his foot. "It was the most excruciating pain I've ever experienced." At press time, he was awaiting an operation to reattach his heel."
