Marginalize Me
I was inspired to write this song by Michael Moore's F911.  There is this extended scene where about half the black caucus from the House of Reps is gaveled down, one at a time, from the Senate rostrum by Al Gore because no senators will back them in their quest to have votes properly counted in Florida.

Thanks for the history lesson, Mike, I didn't know that had happened.  Makes me proud to (hopefully) send a black senator to Washington this fall, who seems to have the scruples to request a fair counting of votes.

Anyways, the theme for the song is set, and covers a variety of issues relating to being marginalized.

The tune is just three chords belted out on the Martin, nothing very special.  It's the melody that came to me while playing it.  I wouldn't be surprised if it's been used before - it's almost too simple not to have been.

Heres the link to the song.

Here's the link to the lyrics.
