COUNTRIES   VISITED

Greece

Greece was the first country which I visited with my husband way back in the year 1991. It is a beautiful country having ancient civilisation. Athens is the capital of Greece and has a population of about five million. It is the country's heart and the economic, industrial, political and cultural center. Greece has many islands and its beautiful beaches attract almost 10 million people in one season alone.

Kyrgyzstan
BISHKEK (KYRGYZSTAN)
Kyrgyzstan is located in Central Asia. After the disintegration of former USSR Kyrgyzstan became independent country. Its neighters are: Uzbekistan, Khazakastan and Tajikstan. It is a country of striking contrasts - land of powerful mountains covered with eternal snow and alpine meadows with placers of flowers; impetuous rivers bordered with cliffs and foamy waterfalls; and steppes with the smell of wormwood - it is a land of blue lakes and green valleys. We were in Kyrgyzstan during the years 1994-1999.
Suriname
PARAMARIBO (SURINAME)
We visited Suriname in the year 2000. Suriname is a small country of about 450,000 people. It is located on the north-east coast of South America between 2 and 6 degrees north of the equator. Suriname offers an enjoyable tropical climate throughout the year. To the west of Suriname is Guyana while its eastern neighbour is French-Guiana. The south border with Brazil is formed by three mountain stretches, while the Atlantic seashore constitutes Surinames northern border.
Singapore
SINGAPORE
Singapore needs no introduction. Everybody knows, it is famous for shopping. We visited Singapore on our way to Delhi from Suriname in the year 2000. Singapore was founded as a British trading colony in 1819. It joined the Malaysian Federation in 1963 but separated two years later and became independent. In Singapore you can find people of many religions: e.g. Buddhist (Chinese), Muslim (Malays), Christian, Hindu, Sikh, Taoist, Confucianist. It has tropical, hot, humid, rainy climate.
