| Flying is magic. Flying in the Pacific Northwest is nothing short of magnificent. So much of this spectacular country is inaccessible by car but wide open to the "over-terrain vehicle". There are tiny airstrips tucked away all over this corner of the world. Some are a short walk from unusual lunch counters or streamside picnic spots. Distances are shorter in straight lines. What takes 40 minutes to fly takes 2-3 hours to drive. This country is so big it can only be appreciated from the air. Flying is not an activity so much as an addiction. If you have to ask "Why?" then you just don't get it. Besides, hours spent flying are so magical, they are not deducted from your allotted time here on Earth. |
