Descendants of Alexander Bean

Notes

1. Alexander Bean

Arrived on the ship "Georgia Packet" at Charleston, SC.
From "The Beans of Trout Creek" by Martha Everman Jones:
Alexander Bean (ca. 1750 - ca. 1800) married Christiana Matson (ca. 1761 - after 1830), supposedly in Scotland, and came to America settling in Ninety-Sixth District, South Carolina which would later become Edgefield District (in 1798). According to census records, all their children were born in South Carolina.  A copy of a deed of the selling of one hundred and thirty-four acres of land in Edgefield District near Little Stephens Creek which had been inherited by Alexander and Christiana's children is recorded in Deed book 32, pp. 196-198 on March 7, 1815. Listed as present were Christiana Bean and her children James, Alexander, John, Elizabeth, Isabella, Sarah, Levicy, and William, then a minor.
