Chapter Seven

A little bit before seven. They all enter a restaurant. It is not too fancy but they are eating outside where they can see the water on a porch-like thing. Alexis is wearing a spaghetti strap light purple dress, floor length with a simple diamond necklace and diamond studs. Emily is wearing a knee-length light blue dress that criss-crosses in the back. Kristina is wearing a ankle-length midnight blue dress with capped sleeves. Her hair is like Chloe�s again. Alexis� is down, there is still some curl in it, and Em�s is crimped. Brooke is wearing a sleeveless pink dress and her hair is in a low ponytail. They are drinking champagne, well except for Brooke and Emily, who told Brooke she would drink grape juice with her.

�So what are you going to name her?� Emily asked.

�Or him.� Jax said.

�Her.� Alexis corrected. �I can feel it.� she explained.

�Kristin Lila.� Ned answered.

�Oh, Grandmother will love that! Oh, not that..� Emily trailed off speaking to Alexis.

�Em, the Q�s are still your family. Especially Ned.� she laughed.

�Alexis, I know about your parents but what about my dad�s?� she asked.

�You know, I don�t know Em. I never met Andrew�s parents and I never asked him about them either. I guess we could try and find them if you want.� she said smiling.

�I�ll think about it.� she said taking a sip of her grape juice.

�Damn, what is taking the waiter so long?� Ned asked looking at his watch.

Just then a woman, shoulder length auburn hair, very slim with her straight hair in two barrettes stumbled out of the door to the inside and comes up to their table, rummaging around for her pad and she says, without looking up yet,

�Hi, my name is Venus. I�ll be your waiter tonight. How may I take your order?� as she pushes a strand of her hair behind her ears.

�V!� Alexis exclaimed as V looked up.

�Omigod! Alexis! Ned, Jax. Hey Em.� she says giving them all a hug.

�Okay, I don�t know you. And I don�t know you.� she says looking at Zander and Krissy.

�V this is Zander, my fianc�e.� Emily introduced.

�Nice to meet ya.� Zander said shaking her hand.
�You too.� V said.

�This is my girlfriend and Alexis� sister.� Jax introduced.

�Nice to meet-� V started to say. �Did he say sister?� she asked stopping short.

�Long story. I�ll tell ya later.� Alexis said.

�Where�s Simon?� Jax inquired.

�Oh he�s back at the hotel, trying to find out some information on this couple that was married there last night. Something about it was their third time trying. I dunno.� she shrugged.

Everyone starts laughing and Alexis buries her head in Ned�s chest.

�What?� V asks.

�V, that was us!� Alexis exclaimed as V�s mouth dropped to the floor.

�Oh my god, well congrats.� she said smiling.

�And their expecting.� Emily piped up.

�Oh gosh you guys. That�s great. I�ve missed you all so much.� she says but I gotta get back to work.

�One question V, then you can take our order.� Ned said.

�Sure, what.� she asked.

�Why on earth are you waiting tables? You hate it and your terrible at it.� Jax cut in before Ned had a chance to say anything.

�Because I wanted a second chance?� V supplied. Everyone minus Zander and Krissy shook their heads no.

�Okay, Simon and I were eating in here the other night and I went to use the restroom and I bumped into the waiter and all his dishes broke and he won�t accept Simon�s money. He thinks it�s dirty.� V said embarrassed and everyone laughed.

Then they ordered and made plans for V and Simon to meet them back at the hotel.

Jax and Krissy�s room a few hours later. The rest of them are out talking with V and Simon in the living room.

�Jax, you�ve got to tell them , especially Bobbie when we get back!� Kristina whispered to him.

�Why? It might get him in trouble Kristina!� he hissed.

�She loves him. She still does. I can see it.� she told him.

�Okay, okay. If she loves him anything like I love you, then I guess it�s worth it.� he says smiling and they leaned in for a short kiss. Then they got up off the bed and went back out to join the group.

�Hey where�d you two disappear off to?� Ned asked as Jax and Kristina reappeared, holding hands.

�We had a matter to discuss.� Jax said.

�Riiigghhhttt...� Ned said laughing

�Come on, I�ll go make some more coffee. God knows Alexis shouldn�t make it.� V said motioning Simon.

�Hey!� Alexis objected. �Okay, it�s true.� she said after a minute.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen.

�You have got to tell him Simon!� V hissed.

�Why should I?� he retorted back.

�Simon, you are my husband and I love you but Jax is one of my closest friends and so is Ned and Alexis and even Emily. They have a right to know�Jax has a right to know about the girls.� she told him. �Please Simon, If not for them, for me.� she said as she got the coffee ready.

�I don�t know...� he said.

�Simon, If you asked them, they would vote yes. I can guarantee it.� V said. �I�ve known these people longer than you.� she said to them.

�Alright. Alright. I�ll ask the girls, and then I�ll tell him however they want me to.� he said surrendering.

�Thank you so much.� she said kissing him on the lips as she brought a tray of seven cups of coffee out and put them on the table for people to drink.

�Thanks V. This is much better than anything I could make.� Alexis said.

�Cardboard is better than any coffee you make.� Kristina joked.

�Aww, Krissy don�t be so hard on her.� Jax said using her nickname.

�Krissy?� Alexis questioned.

�Well exusez moi, Jasper.� she said calling Jax by his proper name.

�Jasper!� Ned said laughing.

�What? You�re telling me you guys don�t have nicknames? I hear you call Alexis Lex all the time and you call Emily Em, Alexis. Although I�ve never heard Ned have a nickname...� she said eyeing him.

�Well I could always call you Nedly.� Alexis said joking.

�Nedley?� Kristina asked.

�It�s what Lois used to call me.� Ned said glaring at Alexis, glad Brooke was taking a nap and not in the room.

�Well actually, I did call him fishface once. And he called me Tidbit.� Alexis said.

�Yeah, that�s right.� Ned said.

�I don�t want to know.� Kristina and Jax said together. Everyone laughed.

�It was during the Eddie Maine hoopla and that�s all you�re going to get to know.� Alexis said satisfactory.

�You know I�m really bummed we missed that!� V commented looking at Ned.

�Yeah, she would have been a great promoter!� Alexis said enthusiastically.

�Well I for one, am not disappointed that V missed it.� Ned said smiling.

�Oh shut up!� V said giving Ned a playful shove.

�As much as I hate to say this, I have to agree with Ned on this one.� Jax said a twinkle in his eye.

�Ooohh, I�m gonna get you for that Jasper Jacks!� V said smugly glaring at Jax, half teasing.

Later that night, all the guys have gone down to the bar and the girls are hanging out at the hotel. Kristina and Emily are in Kristina and Jax�s room gossiping; V and Alexis are in her room gossiping.

�God V, how am I going to do this?� Alexis asked her friend falling back on the bed.

�Do what?� V asked.

�Go to the moon V, raise a child what do you think!� Alexis blasted. �I�m sorry, V. I�m just worried. I mean how am I suppose to do that?! I only had Emily for a few weeks before I gave her to Paige and that was a lifetime ago. And I only had a mother for seven years (NOTE: I decided to change it from ten back to seven it is more believable) before Helena slit her throat.� Alexis said on the verge of tears.

�Alexis you are a great mother to Emily�even now.� V said concerned pulling her into a hug as she sat down on the bed next to her.

�Alexis you are one of the most caring people I know�you are and will be�a great mother.� V said to her.

�Thanks V.� Alexis said as V handed her a tissue to wipe her tears away.

Chapter Eight

The next day everyone left and went back to Port Charles, except for Simon, who said he had some business to wrap up before he went back. Ned, Alexis and Emily live in the Gatehouse, although Emily isn�t there much of the time, since Zander lives above Kelley�s. Jax and Kristina moved in together in Jax�s penthouse and V and Simon moved into what was Kristina�s penthouse across the hall from them.

The Quartermaines�Ned, Alexis, Zander and Emily arrive in the foyer. They decided to tell them about everything at once and get it over with.

�Okay, you ready?� Ned asked Alexis as they held hands.

�As ready as I�ll ever be.� She whispered back.

Zander and Emily followed close behind, nervously holding hands. Emily�s engagement ring sparkled in the sunlight.

They entered the living room to find Lila alone, reading.

�Hello dears.� she said looking up.

�Grandmother where is everyone else?� Ned whispered.

�Oh Alan and Monica are at the hospital, AJ is out with his new girlfriend, Courtney and Edward off doing some ELQ business.� she said.

�What luck.� Emily said as they all relaxed.

�What is it dears?� she asked.

�We both have some news for you grandmother. It�s a good thing we found you here alone.� Emily said smiling. Ned and Alexis sat on the couch. Emily was on the arm of the couch and Zander sat in the armchair.

�Of course, dears what is it?� Lila asked.

�Grandmother, a couple nights ago, Alexis and I flew to Belize with Emily, Zander, Jax and Kristina and Brooke of course, and we got married.� Ned said smiling, rubbing Alexis� hand.

�Oh how wonderful!� Lila said noticing their matching wedding bands.

�And We, are engaged.� Zander said standing to put his arm around Emily.

�Oh Emily, darling, I�m so happy!� Lila said and Zander and Emily walked to her and he kissed her hand and Emily gave Lila a kiss on the cheek.

�Zander dear, that is a lovely piece of jewelry you gave Emily. Much like the one that Edward gave me.� Lila smiled.

�That�s why I got it.� Zander said. �Emily always told me how much she liked your ring so I found a duplicate.� he said.

�What a lovely young man you have found.� she told Emily.

�We do have one more piece of news.� Alexis said to Lila nervously.

�What is it Alexis?� the elderly lady asked.

�I�m pregnant.� she said smiling as she looked over at Ned, who smiled.

�Oh my! That is very wonderful dear! When are you due?� she asked Alexis.

�Around September.� she said.

�Oh, well we must celebrate.� Lila said.

�I agree.� A voice said from the doorway. They all turned to see Kristina.

�Lila, this is my sister, Kristina.� Alexis said introducing them.

�Lovely to meet you, Kristina.� Lila said.

�You too, Mrs. Quartermaine.� Kristina said politely.

�Where�s Jax?� Ned asked.

�Business.� she said simply. Ned nodded in understanding.

�Okay, so we�ll plan the party! You guys don�t need to worry about anything!� Kristina said to Ned and Alexis, excited.

�Okay. No strippers though!� Alexis said rolling her eyes.

�Or red roses.� Ned added and everyone laughed except Kristina.

�I�ll explain later.� Alexis said laughing.

�Alexis could I speak with you for a minute alone?� Lila asked Alexis.

�Uh, yeah sure. Why don�t we go into the rose garden?� Alexis suggested.

�That would be lovely.� Lila said as Alexis wheeled her out doors.

Alexis sat on a garden chair outside and wheeled Alexis next to her.

�What�s up Lila?� Alexis asked her.

�Dear, I just wanted to let you know how much I�m glad that you got past your fears of marriage. I always knew that you and Ned were soul mates. And I�m so glad your having a child. And I�m glad that if anyone else was Emily�s mother that it was you.� She said sincerely.

�Thank you Lila. And I wanted to ask you something.....if it�s a girl, and we think it will be, then we want to name her Kristen Lila if it�s okay with you.� Alexis said.

�Oh, I would be honored dear. Thank you.� Lila said.

�I think that when I was engaged to Ned before I wanted to want to marry him and after all this stuff about my past came out I could move forward and then I wanted to marry him.� Alexis said. Lila nodded understanding.

�Shall we go in now?� Lila asked.

�Yeah, sure.� Alexis said getting up as she wheeled Alexis back into the living room to see Edward, Alan, Monica and AJ all standing there and Zander, Ned, Emily and Krissy trying to stall them.

�Okay, Alexis is back here with Lila now would you PLEASE tell me what�s going on?� Edward bellowed as they entered the room.

�Sure thing.� Ned said as Alexis went over to him and he wrapped his arm around her waist.

�We got married 2 days ago and I�m expecting a child.� Alexis said quickly. Emily and Zander went just as quickly.

�We are engaged. See ya later.� Emily said fastly and they all bolted out of the room as fast as possible�literally as Lila shook her head trying not to laugh.

A few minutes later, they all rush into the Gatehouse laughing and Ned locks the door. The turn around to see Jax and V with puzzled looks on their faces.

�Something I should know about?� Jax asked as V laughed.
�Uh yeah we just told the Q�s about our um news.� Kristina said going over and giving Jax a kiss on the lips quickly.

�Ah yes. As someone once said, the first dose of uncut Quartermainia can be a little overwhelming. Don�t you agree Jax?� V said.

�Yeah, yeah yeah. Ha ha V. � he said eyeing her.

�I was the one who said that to her the first time she met the Qs.� Jax explained to Kristina.

�I see.� Kristina replied.

Just then they all heard a knock at the door that interrupted their laughter.

�Uh-oh. It�s probably grandfather.� Ned said checking outside the window.

�Oh.� he said opening the door.

�Simon!� V yelled running into his arms.

�Hey sweetie.� he said kissing her head.

�Did you finish your business?� she asked.

�Uh, yeah. I took care of it.� he said smiling at her as she looked at him worried. She knew they would talk about it later.

�Well we better leave darling.� Simon said and he and V left for their apartment.
